My eyes grow wide

As I wake up to find a new day dawning
I ponder
The waves through the sea crashing to their doom
Like everyone
My eye grow wide with those thoughts

I get out of be with a tear in my eye
My hair all matted
The gentle breeze from by the sea tickling my neck
Why me

With sadness in my stride I take to the shower
I wonder
Why did I wake up so sad
Why lonely
My eyes grow wide with those thoughts

I change in to clothes looking at the water on the floor
And smile
The water now dirty from my past
For Today
